In Bantayan Island, I was a guest of the Garden of Life owners Jun and Susan Pacheco, an amiable couple whose property commands a majestic view of the sea and Sillon island across. Hoyohoy Villas owner Inday Rimaz also hosted me in her Thai rice granary-inspired villas.
