Avoid WordPress comment spam in two steps!
Friday, February 22nd, 2008For months now, this blog has been freed from comment spam I used to experience before because I found out the most effective ways to avoid WordPress spam.
1. Deactivating Akismet. Previously, I was getting at least 200 spam comments per day. I had to scan them one-by-one because some comments were filtered as spam by Akismet. Out of frustration, I deactivated the plugin with thoughts of completely avoiding these spam messages. True enough, I have not received spam comments since then.
Note: Do not delete Akismet from the plugins directory because you’re blog may experience another spam flood.
2. Install a spam blocking plugin. Currently I am using Matriphe Keycode, one of the best anti spam plugins I’ve ever used.
How to edit your .psd file for free without using Photoshop?
Monday, February 18th, 2008I found a great theme for my health blog but my only problem is how can I edit the psd files to change the banner when I don’t have a Photoshop. So I tried to look for free softwares that will let me edit the psd files in the absence of Photoshop.
Here are what I found as suggested by users:
1. GIMP or GIMPShop. Everybody knows that this is the highly recommended free alternative for Photoshop. However, I think it does not support layers in PSD.
2. Paint.NET with the PSD plugin. Paint.NET is a free image and photo editing software for computers that run Windows. It features an intuitive and innovative user interface with support for layers, unlimited undo, special effects, and a wide variety of useful and powerful tools.

Site Suspension: A Webmaster’s Nightmare
Friday, February 15th, 2008When I was just starting to blog, I feared of two things: not being able to generate blog traffic and site suspension. I had managed to work on the first one since I am now getting a satisfying number of page views per day. The latter was my worry before I switched to paid hosting from WebHostingBuzz.com. I’ve had several site suspension before, and termination at some point when I was still hosted by free hosts. I’ve had several site migration. Somehow, I blame this mishaps why my main blog (jammedph.com) is not visible now in search engine rankings and Google bot stopped crawling it.
But when I switched to paid host, I thought site suspension will no longer be a problem. But imagine to my disappointment and nightmare when I saw my site last night with a suspension notice. According to the technical staff, some scripts I am running in my website was responsible for a resource abuse. Unexpectedly, the plugins installed in this blog caused all the problem. Problems like this is common in shared hosting where you share IP address with other hosted members.
I immediately contacted the billing department and I was grateful because of their prompt reply and unsuspended my account.
What did I learn from this incident?
1. Always do a blog backup. It was only these days that I always forget to backup my account. I was relying to much on my webhost to do all the backups for me which should not have been the case.
2. Always have a clean WordPress install. Do not install every plugin you meet. Deactivate or delete all unnecessary plugins. The MaxBlogPress ad stripe, No Old Spam Links and Views Counter plugins caused this resource abuse so I deleted them. I also deactivated the unused plugins.
3. Always look for a reliable host. In this incident, I have appreciated the billing and sales department in really helping me out.
4. Upgrade to a higher plan. I am thinking of upgrading my budget hosting to a reseller one.
Utilize Coupon Codes to Avail Discount on Domain Names and Hosting
Thursday, February 14th, 2008Domain name registration these days costs an average of $9.00/year. It already sounds much for me. So I looked for ways that will give me cheaper domain registration. My first option was to search the web for cheap domain names. My second option is to use a coupon code to avail discount. But where do I get one?
Luckily, I found a great site which provides coupon promotional codes including those for domain names and hosting. Retail Me Not is an easy way to find online coupon codes.
Using the FEBLUV code (NameCheap’s coupon code for February) I got the domain name for only $8.41 from its original price of $9.96!

Things to Remember To Avoid Get-Paid-To (GPT) Program Scams
Friday, February 8th, 2008Get-Paid-To (GPT) sites (e.g. paid surveys, get paid to click, get paid to read e-mails, get paid to surf, get paid to post, get paid to complete offers, get paid to blog, get paid to socialize, etc.) are the most attractive money-making opportunities to internet users, especially to starters. I, too, had several experiences with paid-to programs when I was just learning that the internet promises real money through these programs. Even now, I am a member of some GPT programs.
Paid-to programs are appealing because most of these do not require payment for registration and you can spend any amount of time at your convenience. With numerous paid-to sites coming out, you can hardly distinguish which are worth trying (and is really paying) and which are plain scams.
Most of these programs require you to pay a certain amount to be a premium members. Being a premium member entitles you to earn more with your account. Who wouldn’t want to earn more, right? So you pay for the premium package. During the first days, you were elated because you see your earnings getting bigger and bigger. Then suddenly, you wake up one day losing everything. You were scammed! There is an increasing number of users who succumb to this kind of easy money but wake up one day getting scammed because they forgot the most important step before joining and putting money in these programs - they failed to investigate
1. Before joining a program, throughly evaluate the GPT opportunity and the site as a whole. Read the About, Help/FAQs, TOS, and Privacy Policy of the sites. These pages may contain and answer every information you needed about the site.
2. Is the GPT site a scam? Do a search. Type the GPT opportunity (website url or name) plus the word “scam”.
3. Visit scam listings and see if the site is listed as scam.
4. Read reviews and recommendations from members. Most importantly, read the complaints. GPTBoycott.com is a good source to read complaints from members about GPT opportunities/sites.
5. Assess how much money you will earn and if it’s worth your time. Spending your time clicking ads and completing offers for a small compensation is also a form of scam. You may not be spending a dime for clicking ads or completing offers and tasks but you should also consider how much do you pay for your internet connection. It sounds simply ridiculous to spend three hours (worth almost a $1.00 if you are using the service of an internet cafe in the Philippines) yet earning few cents for completed offer.
There are other ways to make money online - through blogging (through ads), promoting and selling products, being an affiliate, etc. which are legitimate ones. However, many users do not opt to choose them because they can be a hard task. But nothing is more rewarding than seeing your efforts getting well compensated.
Okay, this post is partially a teaching to myself as I’ve been disappointed over a PTC website I recently joined to.

No Old Spam Links Plugin: Easily add NoFollow on Paid/Text Links
Wednesday, February 6th, 2008The Google punishment in the form of Google PR drops, due to paid links created a buzz in the blogosphere. Many had been affected, and that includes me. And I want to get my PR back. Probloggers advised to add a rel=nofollow on all paid links but it maybe too cumbersome, especially if you have posted quite a number of paid reviews.
I found a WordPress plugin that will help me to easily put nofollow in all the paid links in this blog without manually adding rel=nofollow to the links. No Old Spam Links plugin will automatically do it for me.
What does the plugin do?
- It add “nofollow” to all links on any domain on a blacklist. The “nofollow” is applied in posts and comments.
- Specify one white list “all links dofollow” category which overrides the blacklist.
- Specify an “all no follow” category that adds no follow to all links after a specified number of days. It will be easier for you to add no=follow to all paid links especially if it’s under one category.
Download the plugin here.

How to Get your PageRank Back?
Monday, February 4th, 2008BerryBlitz asked how to get back his PR2 (his blog now has PR0). Apparently, he is one of the millions affected by the PR backlash as punishment by Google on paid links.
Well, here’s a tip for those who were affected by PR drop:
I was Stumbling a while ago when I found this timely and interesting post from Yaro Starak of Entrepreneurs Journey, one of the successful netrepreneurs and probloggers, on how he has managed to get his page rank back to 6. When the big sweep happened, his blog went down to 3 from his original PR6.
Good for him he has now managed to get back his page rank. He added no follow to all paid links in his blog, then submitted a review request with Google at their Webmaster Tools then patiently waited for Google to give him his original PR. According to him, “Google simply doesn’t tell you whether you have successfully adhered to their requests or you still need to do more to have the penalty removed.”
I was also affected by this PR drop so I might also need to do some cleaning up. Right now, I am making every effort to get my PR back to 4:
1. I removed my LinkWorth Linkads script.
2. I removed my TLA plugin.
3. I am posting more regularly to get more traffic and subscribers.
4. I am exchanging links with relevant blogs.
5. I will also be putting nofollow in all the paid links in this blog. I was a member of BlogToProfit previously but fortunately I backed out because I couldn’t keep up with the deadlines.

Zango Support: Zango is not a threat
Sunday, February 3rd, 2008I just noticed that an allegedly Zango Support personnel posted a comment on one of my published posts in BlogEngage where I was talking about how the Zango software posed as a threat. Just to give them the benefit of the doubt, I would like to post his comment:
Zango Support says:
In the above post Zango is listed as a threat.
We would like to correct this listing.
Zango is a safe and secure program which will not harm users’ computer.
We are certainly aware of the ever-growing number of harmful applications that have surfaced on the Web.
Please be assured that Zango, unlike such applications, will always make the user’s privacy our top priority. Zango is a safe and secure program which installs itself only upon user’s download and does nothing without the user’s consent.
Following are some clarifications on the function of Zango’s software:1. Zango does not build personal profiles.
2. Zango does not gather any data you enter in online forms.
3. Zango does not access any sensitive information entered while surfing, such as account details, passwords, credit card information, products you purchase online, etc.
4. Zango’s installation does not install any third party applications. In addition, Zango can be installed only through a standard download process initiated by the user from Zango’s websites and is easy to uninstall.
Unfortunately, it appears that some scanning applications have mistakenly included Zango on their lists. We are aware of this situation and our legal team is contacting these companies in order to be removed from their lists.
Zango is a user friendly program, and it is of paramount importance to us that our program will function properly and will be easily installed and removed
You can remove Zango from your computer via “Add\Remove programs” (Start -> Control Panel -> Add\Remove programs), you may use our uninstaller and you may also use the uninstall instructions we offer under the Zango component in the program’s list
To remove Zango from your computer, please do the following:
1. Close all open applications/programs/windows
2. Go to: ‘Start’ - ‘Settings’ - ‘Control Panel’ - ‘Add\Remove Programs’
3. Click on ‘Zango Browser and Wowpapers Tools’
4. Click ‘Change/Remove’ button
5. Check the components you wish to remove, click ‘Next’ and follow the on-screen instructions.
6. Restart your computer
Alternatively, you can use our uninstaller:
1. Click on the following link - http://installs.zango.com/downloads/Uninstaller/Uninstaller.exe
2. Click ‘Run’ and follow on-screen instructions
3. Restart your computer.
Zango support team can be easily contacted through our help site:
http://catalog.zango.com/destination/corporate/supportform.aspx
or directly at: zangocustomersupport@zango.com
Just few reminders before installing this software:
1. Zango software clearly states in their applications that “In exchange for free access to Zango Games (or any of their programs for that matter), users are shown 2-3 targeted Websites while browsing online.”
2. Symantec and McAfee, two of the reputable internet and computer security software companies, listed Zango as malicious software.
3. StopBadware.org lists a number of undesirable behaviors associated with Zango Easy Messenger, including “behaves as spyware”, “automatically runs on startup”, “displays pop-up advertisements”, “installs adware”, and “bundled software cannot be closed”. Wikipedia
4. Zango, formerly 180solutions and Hotbar, is listed at Wikipedia’s “Well-known adware programs”
5. A great discussion about “180solutions’s Misleading Installation Methods” was posted after several issues were raised about Zango.

Monitor your Entrecard drops through a Feed Reader
Saturday, February 2nd, 2008Short tip: I receive over 50 Entrecard drops per day and I want to return those drops as gratitude but I couldn’t find a way to view them all. Good thing I found the usefulness of Google Reader in this matter.
For those who don’t know about this technique yet, right click on the feed icon of your Entrecard inbox, then add it to your favorite feed reader. In my case I am using a Google Reader.

Watch your favorite TV shows/series and movies online for FREE!
Friday, February 1st, 2008A friend recommended Gossip Girl, a not-so-new TV series (it was started some time in October 2007) from CTV. The story is concentrated around the life of a group of privileged teenagers who attend an elite private school in New York City, based on a popular book series of the same title.
She bought a DVD (a pirated one :p) but won’t let me borrow it yet always makes it sound that it’s the best series in the world (for people who love teen flicks and college-life series), enough to strike curiosity about the show. So I have to resort to online viewing. Good thing I have PLDT as my ISP because I don’t have to wait for the clip to load.
I had a hard time looking for websites that will let me view the whole episodes for Season 1. YouTube only has clips of some episodes because of copyright issues. I stumbled over good sites like Sidereel, TV Live Shows, and FREE TV Online I’m glad I also found some of my favorite TV series like Grey’s Anatomy, House MD, and Smallville. A good number of movies could also be found.
A good list of free online viewing of your favorite TV shows can be found at TV Squad.
If you are looking for Asian drama series and movies, music videos, anime, trailers, etc., you can go to Crunchyroll.com and get loads of these stuff.

Where to borrow, buy and sell Entrecard Credits?
Friday, February 1st, 2008Recently, I posted about how Entrecard Credits (ECs) are becoming the “virtual money of the blogosphere.” You can buy some services through it like advertising to Problogger.net and John Chow, getting a new layout for your blog, pay for your hosting, etc.
There can be many ways on how you can earn ECs to purchase these great services. The conventional way is to drop your cards to several sites and getting advertisement from other users. But you need to spend most of your time to drop your cards (and get a card drops in return) and convince every potential advertiser to advertise on your blog. It takes time and effort. The trend now is to purchase and borrow ECs.
Where to borrow ECs?
The EntreBanker let’s you loan ECs, another brilliant idea from Mr. Biz Beacon. EntreBanker prioritizes the newcomers who are still in need to of ECs to launch their ad campaigns.
Where to buy EC’s?
Entrecash is currently selling ECs at the following prizes:
- 500 Credits for $5.50
- 1000 Credits for $9.50
- 2 000 Credits for $17.50
- 10 000 Credits for $80.00
Jhay was telling that it would be great if ECs could be converted to real money. It is now possible also to earn real money using your ECs. Some bloggers are selling their EC’s and you can also do it. Entrecredits and Entrecash will buy your credits. You can also post an item at the Shop or deal it with interested buyers. Or another good idea is auctioning it through Ebay.

How I Increased Adsense Earnings?
Tuesday, January 29th, 2008Just recently, I’ve noticed that my Adsense earnings went higher, averaging to $7 per day, from previously $1-3 per day.
My first 5 months with Adsense were very frustrating. I did several ways to make more money but I’ve always ended up with earning not more than $1 per day. I patiently waited for 5 months before I could start receiving my first Adsense check. It was even a test when my first Adsense check was lost. Fortunately, I have immediately put a hold to my account.
How I increased my Adsense earnings?
1. More websites means more earnings. This was what I initially thought. Then I put up the most visited ones: lyrics sites particularly offering OPM songs and celebrity blogs. I even put up spam blogs using Blogger. I failed. Why? Because more websites means more time to maintain them all. Based on my personal experience, it should be adequate to maintain up to 3 websites.
2. Optimizing my websites. I read several SEO sites, Google Adsense optimization site, etc. Some sites were quite helpful.
3. Posting about free stuff. I posted about free top-level domains, free medical e-books, free Asian drama and anime online streaming, free Rapidshare link, free OPM mp3, free Japanese manga, etc. These are among my most viewed posts.
4. The most important step is, considering your readers and doing away with Adsense-driven thoughts. I’ve been reading similar advice from different Adsense-earning giants that posting quality contents always drives traffic to your blog, hence more earnings.
5. Posting more frequently. Previously, this blog could rarely get a weekly update. These past days, I made it a point to blog at least one post a day.
6. Using Adsense Injection WordPress plugin. It randomly inserts AdSense ads in various different places on your blog with page loads.
6. And lastly, I credit my increased traffic to Entrecard, BlogEngage, PostonFire, PinoyBlogosphere, and PinoyBlog. Through it, I had freely (almost) advertised my blog to highly trafficked sites.
So far, my earnings this January is the highest payment I could receive and hope to increase it more in the coming months by finding out more ways.

PLDT MyDSL is my new ISP
Saturday, January 26th, 2008Just recently, I decided to make a switch. I was convinced then that Globelines was the best choice after reading many recommendations on it. However, when I did “ISP crawling” last week, I ended up subscribing with PLDT MyDSL instead.

I just submitted my application yesterday but I already have my new connection now. That was fast! I applied for Plan 999, with download speed up to 384 kbps for a monthly fee of Php 999.00. I also took advantage of their free installation promo. Apparently, Jhay was right. The connection speed depends on the local area where you are located.
I saw a big difference between the download speed of Smart Bro and PLDT MyDSL. With the former, I had never achieved my desired speed which was up to 384 kbps. I only had up to 250 kbps. With PLDT MyDSL, I am paying for a download speed of up to 384kbps yet I am getting the a much higher speed. Further, online video streaming was a hassle before because I had to wait for a clip to load completely to get uninterrupted viewing.

Lesson to Learn: Never open an anonymous e-mail
Thursday, January 24th, 2008Especially if contains an attachment. Most likely, it contains a virus.
Just few minutes ago, I received e-mails from an unknown wlifer007 containing attachments. Out of curiosity (and of stupidity because I was already suspecting it contained viruses), I opened the e-mails, tried to download the attachments. Good thing Yahoo! Mail has built-in Norton Anti-virus, which has effectively detected the e-mail worm, named W32.Blackmal.E@mm!enc.
I tried to look for the worm definitions and here are what I found out:
W32.Blackmal.E@mm is a mass-mailing worm that attempts to spread through network shares and lower security settings. On the third day of every month it attempts to rewrite files with certain extensions with custom text.
The e-mails I have received contained this files: eBook.Uu, Video_part.mim, and Attachments00.HQX.
Here’s what I should have done:
1. I should have not opened the e-mail in the first place, because the sender was stranger to me.
2. I should have not tried to download the attachment, even if Yahoo! Mail has a built-in antivirus scanner because not all viruses can be detected.
3. I was already suspicious, so I should have followed my instincts.
4. I already had this lesson before and even posted tips about it, I should have followed it.

Entrecard Credits: The Virtual Money of the Blogosphere
Monday, January 21st, 2008Entrecard credits these days should be dubbed as the “virtual money” of the blogosphere. It is now possible to do online transactions without the need to spend real money, using Entrecard credits. With this possibility, users are also exploring new ways on how to earn more credits.
If you visit the Entrecard Shop, you’ll find great ways to spend your ecs:
- For Advertising: You can buy an ad space or text, a blog review, and directory submission.
- Buy Products and Services: Buy an e-book, pay and buy a web space, a blog installation, graphic design, CDs and DVDs, comments for your blog (yeah, even this), search engine optimization, etc.
Of course we know that we can buy ad space on different blogs through browsing the directory. To buy all these products, you have to have enough credits. We already know the conventional ways to earn credits: by dropping and receiving drop cards from others, every time someone advertises in our widgets and receiving donations from others.
Then ideas on earning more ECs started to come out such as selling products and services and joining several contests.
And the latest, auctioning your ECs. Yes, this is possible.
Yesterday, I signed up my health blog, and was immediately made an offer: bid for 250 ECs at Ebay. Another great idea, I should say.

Social Internet Radios and Music Communities, Better Alternatives to Pandora
Saturday, January 19th, 2008Recently, I posted about GlobalPandora which allows non-US residents to listen to Pandora without using any proxies. However, due maybe to the million hits and overwhelming traffic from its international users (it was said that more than 50% of listeners are outside the US), they’ve been having server glitches and technical problems these past days. When I visit the site last night, the box was closed… again. *lets out a sigh*
Hmmm, could it be that my IP address was detected as US because I have successfully signed up using a US Zip code? I could access the original Pandora, though, through proxies. But, again, they are down for maintenance.
Fortunately though, GlobalPandora recommended similar sites such as Jango, Imeem, and others. I also looked for more similar sites that maybe good alternatives to or even better than Pandora.
- Jango was dubbed as the Social Internet Radio. This works like Pandora. You create your stations through searching for the artist, can right away listen to his/her songs and from related artists. You can add as much artists as you want. You can also rate the song which will affect future streaming - if you want to play it more, less or never.
With Jango, you can tune in to other people’s stations - and they can tune in to yours! In your player, you’ll see who’s listening to the same music as you, who’s listening to your stations, and what your friends are playing.
- Social FM. Social·fm enables social music discovery and recommendations through connections with your friends, family and other users with similar musical preferences. Social Fm is powered by DJs and music listeners. Social.fm also offers artist information - biography, discography, videos, etc.
Social.fm can be a desktop or mobile application or as a widget to social networking sites like MySpace, Friendster and Xanga.com or even to your own blog or site, letting you to share your favorite music and top artists with friends.

- Last.fm - the world’s largest social music platform which offers customised “radio stations” consisting of uninterrupted audio streams of individual tracks selected from the music files in the music library.
Using a unique music recommendation system known as “Audioscrobbler”, Last.fm builds a detailed profile of each user’s musical taste by recording details of all the songs the user listens to, either on the streamed radio stations or on the user’s computer or portable music device. This information is transferred to Last.fm’s database (”scrobbled”) via a plugin installed into the user’s music player. The profile data is displayed on a personal web page. The site offers numerous social networking features and can recommend and play artists similar to the user’s favourites. WikiPedia.com

Imeem - Users interact with each other by watching, posting, and sharing content of all media types, including blogs, photos, audio, and video. You can create playlists from user-uploaded media.

Soundpedia is a social community and music discovery search engine that helps you find and enjoy music throughout the web. You can create playlists, share your playlists, and browse playlists of other members. You can also connect with people who are as passionate as you about music.
Soundpedia has recently launched its new service which allows its users to upload their own playlists (.asx, .pls, .xml, .txt and .m3u are supported).
Other Recommendations:

Seeqpod is a music search engine, with over 8 million songs indexed. Seeqpod’s player is embeddable and will automatically find music videos while you listen to songs. Users can also create their own playlists. It allows users to search for and discover audio and video all over the Web. They have software robots which work with targeted crawling systems to auto-submit links to content to the search index. This, combined with user URL submissions, results in a large and rich search and discovery index.
BlogMusic (now Deezer.com), RadioBlogClub, Musicovery and Meemix also offer online streaming based on your searched artists, as well as related ones.
You may ask, “Why do I always bother to look for music online when I can buy or download some and listen conveniently offline?” I’ve been a fan of internet radio and music communities because I prefer listening online because it saves me up time and money to download my favorite songs. And it saves up some hard disk space, too!
Whew! That was one heck of a list. You can add yours, too, by commenting below. ![]()

Friday, January 18th, 2008Recently, Tim of BeThumbed PayPal account was hacked because of filling up a fake form which was purportedly sent by a Paypal staff. I’ve also received a similar e-mail, but I just ignored it. Good thing I was busy blogging at that time that I totally forgot about the e-mail. I also logged in directly to their website to read if similar announcement appeared in their “What’s New” section.
Paypal had been particular in securing their merchants’ accounts. They provided tips on how to protect your account.

Fake Paypal vs Real Paypal e-mails:
- A fake Paypal e-mail usually contains greetings like “Dear PayPal user” or “Dear PayPal Member”. A real Paypal e-mail addresses the member by his/her first and last name or the business name associated with your PayPal account.
- A fake Paypal e-mail usually does not contain your e-mail address as recipient, especially if it was sent by an autobot mailers like what most hackers use.
- I have also observed that real Paypal e-mails contain a copyright footer containing the PayPal e-mail ID at the bottom.

GlobalPandora: Pandora for Non-US Residents
Tuesday, January 15th, 2008
I found this good news from Hezron Mariano’s blog while blog hopping through Pinoy Entrecards.
Remember Pandora? A friend of mind recommended it to me and I got to listen to some songs before it was restricted to US residents only. Pandora radio is the personalized internet radio service that helps you find new music based on your old and current favorites under the Music Genome Project.
Well, here’s the good alternative to all non-US residents. The box is open! You can now listen to your favorite songs through GlobalPandora.
Note: After about 30 minutes of free music listening, you are still required to open your account and sadly it’s still exclusive for US residents.
But here’s what I did to make a free account:
1. I filled up the signup form.
2. Since I am not familiar with the US Zip codes, I referred to Switchboard.com for list of zip codes I could use. You can choose from the zip codes listed.
3. I submitted the form and voila! I now have a Pandora account. I could listen with all I want.
Enjoy listening. I am currently listening to Usher’s music station and I am loving it. ![]()

How to Add an External E-Mail Account to Your Yahoo Mail?
Monday, January 14th, 2008I was writing an e-mail using my Yahoo Mail account when a drop down arrow and an “Add Mail Account” link beside my e-mail address caught my attention. I clicked on the link and I was surprised because it is now possible to add additional e-mail to my existing account. Or if it has been there for a long time, I didn’t notice.

Most of us have multiple e-mail accounts for different purposes: as business account, Paypal address, even for spam e-mails, etc. Before, to be able to sign in using a different account, you have to sign out from the current e-mail you are using. With the new Yahoo! Mail feature, you can retrieve your messages from your external e-mail account to your permanent Yahoo! Mailbox.
Here is a step-by-step process on how to add another e-mail account to your Yahoo Mail.
Currently, only one additional e-mail address is allowed for Yahoo Mail basic users. You’ll need to access the Add Accounts page through the Yahoo! Mail Classic interface because they are still tweaking the Yahoo! Mail Accounts option for the new Yahoo! Mail.

Yuwie, the Social Network that Pays
Thursday, January 10th, 2008
My sister was telling me a while ago about Yuwie, a social networking site (like Friendster, MySpace, Facebook) that pays its members for socializing! She has been looking for means to earn money online that she grabs every money-making opportunity she encounters. Although, I was hesitating to join, I accepted her invitation. It won’t cost me nothing to join anyway, so I said I will give it a try.
How does Yuwie work?
It works similarly with other social networking sites: you invite your friends, they view your page, they invite more friends, you build your network, you get more friends, etc. But it is different from the social networks we are used to because it rewards its user by cutting them in on some of the advertising profits.
You get paid for every page views and referrals. It works as a pyramid, making money off of everyone down the line. Social networks earn millions, or probably billions from advertising but none of these sites share their revenues to their users, until Yuwie introduced this feature.
What else should I do to get paid?
With Yuwie, you get paid for everything you do with this social network. Get paid to blog, to upload pictures, to send messages, to write comments, to hang out, and to surf.
How much will I earn?
Here is a look at sample earnings based on the 10 levels of referrals and assuming a revenue-sharing rate of $0.50.

So what are you waiting for? Join Yuwie and get paid for what you’ve already been doing. See my profile page to see how will your Yuwie page look.
