Trouble in the newly opened NAIA3?

I was so happy upon reading last week that the much publicized NAIA3 finally opened. After so many years of being scrutinized and plagued with intrigues the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 opened its doors to local travelers and foreigners. But just after a few days the headaches begun. Almost 6 domestic Cebu Pacific flights [...]

How Can IT Certification From Cisco Change Your Life?

How can IT Certification from Cisco change your life? That is the question. How indeed?

Have you read about my IT practitioner friend who was highly qualified of a position in our company and whom I recommended to the Human Resource Department but sadly was not hired? If you’ve not read that story, let me relive it now.

This friend has been in the IT business for a significant number of years – more than 7 years really. In fact, he has designed many networks to date and one was the backbone network of my husband’s previous company. I really had no doubt of his capability and to my assessment, with his experience and skill, he was everything our company would want and so I recommended him for a spot in our company. He went through the usual process of course – series of examinations and interviews (well, that’s a standard operating procedure and I’m not too powerful as to give him an easy access to that job position!). But much to my surprise (not to mention disappointment), when the final result came in, he was not hired!

I was so sorry for the unfavorable result and it definitely was a sad thing because I know he is a competent IT professional. But do you know what made the big bosses not hire him? He had no Cisco certification to back him up. No, not a single one. And that made the world of difference.

At some point a CISCO certification whether it is in Design (CCDA), Routing and Switching (CCNA), Security (CCNA Security), Voice (CCNA Voice) or Wireless (CCNA Wireless) wouldn’t make much difference. But I have changed my mind. It is important. Because in the real world, a certification and an endorsement are part of “the qualification.” But in a positive sense getting a certification, not only help in the advancement of career but with the extra learning also gives one the confidence to face the real world.

Nahirapan ako sa tema ngayong linggo at nde na sana ako sasali...pero buti nlang naisipan ko ang beach...at ang Boracay!

Sabi ni Mister Wikipedia:
Boracay is a tropical island located approximately 315km (200 miles) south of Manila and 2km off the northwest tip of the island of Panay in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

Translation: I had a difficult time looking for a photo for this week's theme. Good thing I thought of the beach...and thought of the beautiful Boracay at the last minute! (My photo didn't do much justice of the place, kaya pasensya na po.)

Mister Wiki supports my photo with the geographical description of Boracay. So guess, I need not say more. :-)

Happy Thursday, everyone!

Monster Mom = Me

Published by ZAM under , Movie, entertainment, me, pilipinas

It's pure coincidence. Or is this a sign? But I saw the stars of My Monster Mom promote the movie on TV and I had to laugh because at I have been feeling like a monster mom myself.

Lots of scenarios at home. Lots of emotions. Lots of incidents. At the moment, I just don't feel like putting it all into words (either on this blog or my other one) because I know I'll only end up to be more than an emotional wreck (as it is, I already am!). I can just imagine the post to be hilariously serious and seriously hilarious. Sappy and HORRIBLE. And I am already feeling horrible in my capacity as a parent. But this I have to say, I really am groping in the parenting department. But I'm trying to be a good monster mom. *wink*

Anyway, about this flick, My Monster Mom seems like a good comedy offering from two production outfits in the country- GMA Films and Regal Films. I hope it will do good in terms of movie sales. I'm not watching it but I hope those who will watch it will be satisfied (and those who have watched it are satisfied).

Pacquiao -Diaz Fight Resulted To Zero Crime Rate

Between 8AM and 3PM of June 29, the NCR police recorded no crime commissioned around this time. Really, even kidnappers, robbers and other elements adore Manny Pacquiao enough to postpone their activities. Lol. Even the volume of traffic was down at minimum around here.

I really am not over the big win of the Pambansang Kamao over David Diaz. It was an astounding finish when he had Diaz flat on his face in the 9th round. It really was an exciting match -and Pacman, who was in his best form during the fight, almost didn't suffer a scratch!

Again, Congratulation to the first Asian to win titles in 4 divisions! 4 divisions - and he is still showing no sign of stopping. So more power to you!

Translation:
Taken in Sta Fe, Bantayan Island, Cebu four years ago on a stormy day. We - hub and I- were at the back of our room, just enjoying the scene down below. The island is a perfect place to be if you want some quiet time by the beach. It still is my favorite holiday spot (Boracay comes second only). The weather is just unpredictable though - it was sunshine-y when we arrived in the island but the following day it was stormy.
