Wordless Wednesday #53: World’s Most Scared Kid
Wednesday, September 24th, 2008Finally, I am breaking my silence.
A lot has transpired since my last post, and it’s because I have been doing things the past weeks that I didn’t have enough energy to keep my blog updated. I know, laziness is not an excuse, as my good friend pointed out to me.
So here I am… attempting to blog.
I was having my afternoon snack earlier when I downloaded this picture sent by my sister – and my jaw dropped when I saw this picture. I choked and bits of my snack shot out of my nostrils. Ok, that’s an exaggeration.
The look on my niece Beebop’s face was enough to convince me to snap out of this writing funk and post this photo for this week’s Wordless Wednesday!

My mother and my brothers are all those who hear the Word of God and obey it.
(Luke 8:21)
The Word of God provides the way
For us to become Christ’s brethren;
But we must live it day by day
If we want to be God’s [...]

An Old friend
Wednesday, August 20th, 2008I had forgotten so many things about my previous life, whether purposefully or just because of brain cells that have long expired. But in my feeble mind’s effort to leave the past behind it had also erased some of the wistful memories that I should have kept. The kind that when someone reminds you of [...]

Thursday, August 14th, 2008You Would Make an Okay 1930’s WifeYou have some of the attributes of an ideal 1930’s wife… but you probably didn’t intend it to be that way.You don’t buy into retro gender roles, though you do embrace your femininity at times.A 1930’s man may find yo…

Wordless Wednesday #47: Aunty’s little superstar
Wednesday, July 30th, 2008I know this is not wordless again but I had to share. This just came in this morning, with a note that says:
Dear Tita Darling,
When I grow up I want to be a superstar.
Love,
Bopbop
When I visited them last summer, I watched her with great fascination as she danced and pranced around the house with her imaginary friends. She entertains me with her quick wit. She’s only two years old, and next time, she would probably ask her father to send me another photo of her dressed in a different character with another “when I grow up…” note. This definitely brightened my day!

Saturday, July 12th, 200816 years ago today he was the one in the bassinet. Today he dotes on his little sister, and lets her turn his bed into a trampoline when she wants to. He willingly shares his beloved chicken nuggets and fries with no one but her.

Boy Talk
Tuesday, July 8th, 2008A wedding in the family
Sunday, July 6th, 2008Sam’s brother Rowley, also known as Bunso, and who was witness to our wedding, is getting married. And it’s about time too. Sam and his brothers seem to have the monopoly on tying the knot way past the age of 30. Maybe it’s because they had such a cared-for childhood and finding a girl “just [...]

Anticipating growing old (again)
Thursday, July 3rd, 2008Now that my birthday is just a couple of weeks away I am considering the best (and most affordable) birthday gift I could buy for myself (advanced happy birthday me!).

Spread the luuuuv!
Monday, June 30th, 2008I’m glad the sun is up today. It rained for the most part of yesterday (in Tuol Sangke where we live) that our plan to drive around was canceled, but, I am also glad for the cool weather that the rains brought in. I notice that every now and then I get those headaches. Perhaps I’m watching too much tv these days (it’s the Wimbledon!!)… or, it’s because I am getting old and creaky? Simba ko (knock on wood). But I am always comforted by my husband’s words and assurances; and my nephew and nieces still make me laugh and smile. When I call home and talk to them, it makes me forget the aches.

I wish I could also have their childlike innocence.
Okay, enough of the wishful thinking… on to what’s happening here - we are flying to Phuket on Saturday!! Wohoo!! Actually it is not a 100% holiday as the husband is taking his CELTA course but of course, Phuket is Phuket, and we are bound to do what a tourist should do when in Phuket. Anyways, we will be staying inside at the International House located at the British International School. They have very nice accommodations there, so I heard. That I will surely see.
By the way, I would like to say thank you to dear Zam of MakiMeji for sharing the love to me…
… and now I am passing the love on to my friends, Redlan, Serena, Lou, J-B-L-O-G-G-E-D, MamaGirl, Sam and KiwiPinay. Let’s spread the luuuuv!
