I take tons of photos every month and store them in my computer.I do like downloading stuff from the internet also and then again save in my laptop.I know I have enough memory in my computer but time will come it's going to get full. With that being said,I would have to have its
ram upgraded if that is the case.No worries though for I found a website that has been tested and guaranteed computer
ram upgrades such as Dell, Apple, Compaq, Toshiba, Sony and many more.

I just talked to my online buddy about her blog being hosted in a paid web hosting company,I don't know for certain which one but one thing I know that it took her a whole day to set her blog to its own hosting. She told me that it was very difficult and tricky that it took her long hours before she was able to do it.If only she read the
web hosting tutorials first on www.webhostingrating.com so that she would find it tough upon setting her blog. Well,I will save the page in my favorites because I might have my blogs set up into cheap web hosting so I don't have to rely on Blogger anymore.

Sharing large files is easy nowadays due to the advent of P2P software like LimeWire, Morpheus, Ares etc, and file-sharing websites like Rapidshare, Megaupload, and others. However, most of these softwares or sites require waiting time and download before you can download another file. This becomes a dilemma with split downloads like movie clips, e-book downloads, and other large divided files (i.e. part 1, part 2, etc). You can only avoid waiting time and download limits by paying as premium user.
Yahoo! Mail, Gmail and other free e-mail service has attachment size limits (usually 5 MB). This attachment size is applicable only for documents, but not when sending large files as attachments like video clips, audio files, high resolution images, etc.
Pando is a great free P2P software that lets you share large files in blog posts, instant messengers and e-mail.
Send large e-mail attachments. Pando allows you to send up to 1GB of e-mail attachments through your free e-mail account.
Share files with your readers and friends without the annoying waiting time and download limit. Pando also lets you share big files with your friends in IM clients and websites/blogs.

I found a great theme for my health blog but my only problem is how can I edit the psd files to change the banner when I don’t have a Photoshop. So I tried to look for free softwares that will let me edit the psd files in the absence of Photoshop.
Here are what I found as suggested by users:
1. GIMP or GIMPShop. Everybody knows that this is the highly recommended free alternative for Photoshop. However, I think it does not support layers in PSD.
2. Paint.NET with the PSD plugin. Paint.NET is a free image and photo editing software for computers that run Windows. It features an intuitive and innovative user interface with support for layers, unlimited undo, special effects, and a wide variety of useful and powerful tools.
Isn’t it great that the web always has the answer?

I just noticed that an allegedly Zango Support personnel posted a comment on one of my published posts in BlogEngage where I was talking about how the Zango software posed as a threat. Just to give them the benefit of the doubt, I would like to post his comment:
Zango Support says:
In the above post Zango is listed as a threat.
We would like to correct this listing.
Zango is a safe and secure program which will not harm users’ computer.
We are certainly aware of the ever-growing number of harmful applications that have surfaced on the Web.
Please be assured that Zango, unlike such applications, will always make the user’s privacy our top priority. Zango is a safe and secure program which installs itself only upon user’s download and does nothing without the user’s consent.

I’ve encountered quite a number website having Zango software ad dialog box, especially on download sites and online video sites. I used to be a regular user of PeekVid to view some TV series and movie I missed. But recently, I visited the site and a dialog box asks me to download a software first before I could view the video. With that alone, I already suspected that it maybe a malicious software. I searched for it and found out that it was indeed an adware downloader.
The Zango software ads state that to be able to view videos, play games, listen online, you have to download their “software”, so an unsuspecting internet user downloads it, unknowingly installing spyware and adware in his/her computer.
Zango, formerly known as 180solutions and Hotbar, manufactures known adware and spyware typically required to access partner’s games, DRM-protected videos and software. Some online and home PC security giants such as McAfee, states that this program may have legitimate uses however, it a potentially unwanted program and an adware downloader.
StopBadware.org listed undesirable software behaviors of the Zango Easy Messenger such as excessive pop ups, automatically runs on startup, displays pop-up advertisements, installs adware, and bundled software cannot be closed. Wikipedia

Just recently, I decided to make a switch. I was convinced then that Globelines was the best choice after reading many recommendations on it. However, when I did “ISP crawling” last week, I ended up subscribing with PLDT MyDSL instead.
I just submitted my application yesterday but I already have my new connection now. That was fast! I applied for Plan 999, with download speed up to 384 kbps for a monthly fee of Php 999.00. I also took advantage of their free installation promo. Apparently, Jhay was right. The connection speed depends on the local area where you are located.
I saw a big difference between the download speed of Smart Bro and PLDT MyDSL. With the former, I had never achieved my desired speed which was up to 384 kbps. I only had up to 250 kbps. With PLDT MyDSL, I am paying for a download speed of up to 384kbps yet I am getting the a much higher speed. Further, online video streaming was a hassle before because I had to wait for a clip to load completely to get uninterrupted viewing.

Especially if contains an attachment. Most likely, it contains a virus.
Just few minutes ago, I received e-mails from an unknown wlifer007 containing attachments. Out of curiosity (and of stupidity because I was already suspecting it contained viruses), I opened the e-mails, tried to download the attachments. Good thing Yahoo! Mail has built-in Norton Anti-virus, which has effectively detected the e-mail worm, named W32.Blackmal.E@mm!enc.
I tried to look for the worm definitions and here are what I found out:
W32.Blackmal.E@mm is a mass-mailing worm that attempts to spread through network shares and lower security settings. On the third day of every month it attempts to rewrite files with certain extensions with custom text.
The e-mails I have received contained this files: eBook.Uu, Video_part.mim, and Attachments00.HQX.

Yesterday, I found out that the contact form has not been working. Thank God, I had thought of testing it myself. I was using the PXS Mail WordPress plugin then tried sending a test e-mail and found out it was not sent to my e-mail. I thought that this could a plugin compatibility issue so I tried another one (Dagon Design Form Mailer) with the same results. There maybe a server restriction that does not allow me to access the PHP mailform function as Dagon Design explained. I moved to a new host (WebhostingBuzz.com) last November and I noticed that I have not been receiving any message from my visitors. I know it can be easily resolved by contacting my host, however, it’s also good to try other alternatives. Good thing, I came across Wufoo, the free HTML form builder.

I’ve been planning of putting up a blog containing OPM 3gp videos for cellphones. In fact, I’ve already started it. But it is still on experimental stage. Currently, I am using WordPress as my platform but I am also opting to use a CMS like Joomla! or Xoops.
Where did the idea come from?
A friend of mine has been obsessed with 3gp music videos that he would ask me every time we meet to download him some 3gp music videos, even movies.
Where to get videos
I usually search for member-uploaded Pinoy music videos in YouTube.com. There are also available ones in Google Video and Yahoo! Videos.
Software Needed:
I am currently using YouTube Downloader which can both download videos directly from YouTube in .flv format. It has also the ability to convert flv files to 3gp format. It also allows you to convert downloaded videos for Ipod, Iphone, PSP, Windows Media, XVid and MP3.

I found this good news from Hezron Mariano’s blog while blog hopping through Pinoy Entrecards.
Remember Pandora? A friend of mind recommended it to me and I got to listen to some songs before it was restricted to US residents only. Pandora radio is the personalized internet radio service that helps you find new music based on your old and current favorites under the Music Genome Project.
Well, here’s the good alternative to all non-US residents. The box is open! You can now listen to your favorite songs through GlobalPandora.
Note: After about 30 minutes of free music listening, you are still required to open your account and sadly it’s still exclusive for US residents.
But here’s what I did to make a free account:

I am getting addicted to Entrecard, the first and only free exchange network that really promises traffic to your websites. You can advertise your Entrecard on any blog in the network, for free, for a number of days using your Entrecard credits or ECs. Getting ECs isn’t hard. You earn them for free by networking (dropping your card for other bloggers) and displaying other Entrecards on your widget.
Holding Entrecard Credit contests is becoming a trend among Entrecard users these days. It is another way of getting ECs and driving blog traffic for contest holders.
Here is a list of sites with active contests as of January 13, 2008:
1. Win $20 and 300 Entrecard Credits at PinoyAmbisyoso.com. International Entrecard users with Paypal account are qualified to join. Paypal will be used to claim your $20 prize in case you win. Visit his blog to learn how. There is only one winner for this contest and will be drawn randomly. Contest will end on January 16, 2008, Wednesday, 8pm, Manila Time and will be announced the following day, January 17, Thursday.

The recent development of Paypal service in the Philippines, which now includes receive feature has helped a lot of internet entrepreneurs, bloggers, online auctioneers, sellers and buyers, webmasters, and the regular internet users.
In my case, it also helped me a lot:
1. For my web hosting: I am now able to pay for web hosting for my sites without worrying about my account being deleted for not logging in for days. My sites have been hosted by Ejam Hosting for almost a year but due to limited features and increasing website demand on bandwidth and space, I decided to switch to a paid host.
2. Online Auctions: I can now join in online auctions without the need to worry on the payment method. Most online auctions support Paypal such as eBay. I’ve been wanting to buy a 3G phone. My Paypal balance, however, is not yet sufficient to buy a new one.

My blogs and previous website had been hosted by Ejam hosting for free for over a year. I was satisfied with their hosting, but since the hosting are provided for free, I have to expect some limitations.
Free Hosting
How to get a hosting for FREE:
You have to sign up for free account, of course. Get a list of these free hosts here. Most of these web hosts provide free hosting in exchange of posts. Ejam for example requires you to post certain number per month to get your account running. Some offers point equivalents of each post (e.g. Hostbidder.com) which serves as your “money” to renew your account every month.
Pros:
1. Features: You get to build a self-hosted WordPress blog or any CMS-built website, get the feature of a paid web host such as cPanel and Fantastico, and site builders all for FREE!
2. Support: If you are having a problem with your website or hosted account, you can post at their forums and get opinions from other members.

Yesterday, I posted about Download Direct, which can be another helpful way to avoid the Rapidshare download limit and waiting time you encounter as a free user.
Here are more tips to bypass these limitations:

2. Use Rapidshare tools. Tools provide some additional features like managing the downloads, changing proxies, simultanious downloads by using more than one proxy and much more.

Rapidshare is probably the most popular file-hosting service these days. Millions of shared files - e-books, music, videos, and documents are hosted in their servers. However, if you are free users, you face a lot of limitations such as the download limit and waiting time, unless you became a premium member (paying).
But like any other programs, there are a thousand ways available in the net to bypass the download limit. One of it I found useful was the Download Direct software released by Sendbit.
Download Direct (also known as DLD) was developed to accelerate your downloads by up to 500% (sometimes more) and let you manage them via one central screen.
DLD has great features:
1. Accelerates downloads up to 500% (sometimes more). This can be a great help especially to dial-up users.
2. Manage all downloads via one central screen
3. Uses mirrors to find the fastest file location (achieves even more speed).

Apart from being feature-rich compared to previous Windows operating systems, Microsoft Vista
attracts many user because of it’s neatly tailored layout, design or whatever you call it. I was one of those who wanted to immediately upgrade but because my Windows XP was working perfectly well, I said I will wait for some reviews regarding it, which was a good decision because many of my friends are downgrading to Windows XP because of incompatibility and loading issues.
I looked for an alternative way to make my PC look like Windows Vista without actually upgrading it. One of the best ways I’ve tried was installing Vistamizer. VistaMizer modifies your system files, so that when you reboot after installing VistaMizer, you will have an Vista-transformed XP.
With VistaMizer you are now able to transform your Windows XP, MCE or Server 2003 by giving it the look of Windows Vista. Therefore over 380 files with new Icons, pictures as well as videos are modified.
What’s even better with this software is it comes with the easy-uninstall feature. If you will have problems with installation, you have the possibility to get back the old system by an un-installation. If newer files are already present in the system by updates, this is recognized by the un-installer and only the modified files will be replaced.

I only have 40 GB hard disk space, partitioned into 2. I have separate drive for all my important documents with my almost 4000 collection of music, the other drive is for my system files so every time I need reformatting of my PC, I won’t be having a problem of backing up my files. Because I have a limited disk space, I tried many ways to save up for space so my PC performance would not be affected without the need to upgrade my RAM or disk space.
Upgrading could be the best option because you wouldn’t have to spend longer time deleting every unnecessary files you could find in your computer. But if your saving up for some more important things, it may be an impractical option.
Alternatively, you can:

Do you wish to play your favorite videos in your cell phone? Here are several ways to do that.
1. Downloading from popular video sites plus file conversion. One of the best resources to download music videos is YouTube.com. Currently direct download is not a feature, you need video downloaders to aid you. Mashable.com provided a good list of some of the video downloaders available. Highly recommended is YouTubex to do the job for me. The files downloaded are of .flv type which means it is not supported by your cellphone. Thus, you need a converter for file conversion to .3gp type. You can use Movie2x Free 3GP Converter.
A FireFox plugin, Convert & Download Youtube (Firefox) 2.0, lets you download and convert FLV to 3gp and other supported file types for FREE. Download your favorite video directly from YouTube and convert to your mobile phone with one mouse click.

The term “wiiitis” was coined by Dr. Julio Bonis, a medical resident, after waking up one Sunday morning with intense pain in the right shoulder. He did not recall any recent injuries or trauma and had not participated in any sports or physical exercise recently. When he consulted a rheumatologist and the Patte’s test was positive, consistent with acute tendonitis isolated to the right infraspinatus.
Then he recalled his activities for the previous 24 hours and remembered that he had bought a new Nintendo Wii (pronounced “wee”) video-game system and had spent several hours playing the tennis video game.
With the Wii system, the player faces a video screen and moves a handheld controller (approximately 14.5 cm by 3.0 cm by 3.0 cm, with a weight of approximately 200 g) containing solid-state accelerometers and gyroscopes that sense three-dimensional spatial movements. In the tennis video game, the player makes the same arm movements as in a real game of tennis. If a player gets too engrossed, he may “play tennis” on the video screen for many hours. Unlike in the real sport, physical strength and endurance are not limiting factors. New England Journal of Medicine

As celebration for their 10-year anniversary, Yahoo! Mail will offer unlimited mail storage capacity starting on May 2007 as announced on Tuesday.
The free version of Yahoo! Mail (basic), which is used by majority of users, offers only 1GB of storage and limited features such as the limited 10MB attachments. You need to upgrade to Yahoo! Mail plus to get more features you want including a “virtually unlimited” 2GB mail storage capacity and larger attachments.
Yahoo! Mail used to be the “giant” in mail industry but when Google started Gmail, millions have converted to it as their primary e-mail provider. This was due to the larger storage capacity - 2GB - and several other great features.
As a Yahoo! Mail user, this may sound great (err, or not). This would mean that you will have more storage for spam messages (or you could say, a potential attractant for more spam) due to their inefficient e-mail spam filter. Other than that, I find this “upgrade” unnecessary. I think Yahoo! Mail should upgrade more of their spam filtering and virus scanning feature. Perhaps they should get an idea from the great features of Gmail. That would be more attractive to users.
