It gives a good impression on people who sees your URL, especially for commercial sites adding credibility to the company. Top 100 Mindanao Blogs for 2007

Here’s the list of Mindanao’s Top 100 Blogs for 2007 taken from Mindanao Blog Directory. I’m happy that I was included in the list even though I don’t regularly update the blog. Rankings were based on data from technorati and feedburner. My technorati authority is 24 and my feedburner stats say it has 26 readers. I [...]

New Domain. New Layout.

I recently bought a new domain but still don’t have a clear understanding of what I’m really gonna do with it. I can’t decide on whether I should have it as an add-on domain, parked domain or have a separate hosting for it. What troubles me is that if I could maintain two blogs at [...]

Published by shane under Blog Matters

I screwed up the layout! Darn it! I was trying out the original K2 theme, and when I switched back to this theme, the sidebar modules just vanished from the face of the blogosphere!

Somebody help!!!

Shameful Interview

Published by shane under All About Life, Blog Matters

First off, forgive me for changing the very cool layout I had before. The images were consuming too much of my bandwidth, a luxury I don’t really have. :(

Somebody called our land line around 9:30 AM this morning. Mother was the one who answered it and said a girl was looking for me. She was so sure that it isn’t any of my friends calling because of the way the caller introduced herself. The lady on the phone said I have an interview scheduled 1:00 PM in the afternoon. I was kind of surprised of the very short notice, but still I told her that I can make it. It was a call from the call center I applied for with the position of MIS/IT Staff.

It’s a good thing a colleague was also scheduled for an interview because if I was there alone, I would just be sitting doing nothing, staring at floor. We arrived 1:05 PM to be exact and got interviewed two hours later. Imagine if it was only me with no one to talk to. :|

Then the interview process was done. I won’t go through the details because I’m pretty sure you’d laugh at the way I answered the questions. Even I was smiling when I got out of the office. I wasn’t happy. I was ashamed. It was more like of a personality test but if the questions were technical stuff, I probably could have done better.

I’ve learned my lesson. The next time somebody will ask me those kind of questions, I’ll be prepared! ^^ I know I can do better!

Somewhere I Belong: Renewed

Published by shane under Blog Matters

After almost two years of blogging, I decided to revamp the whole site. But of course, I did a full back-up before I deleted the past files, including the database. Oh well, what’s done is done. Have to move on now.

After passing the board exam, another chapter of my life has been opened, so I thought it would be better to renew the site and make it as professional as possible. Anyway, there’s a lot of things to do still before I can restore it to full operating status so to my dear visitors, sorry for the inconvenience.

;)
