Acnexus: The First One-step Natural Acne Treatment

    Friday, September 26th, 2008

When I was a teenager, I had pimple troubles. Pimples, and acnes, are like a scourge in every teenager’s lives. It was very embarrassing and you get picked on by everyone, especially by classmates who are pimple or acne-free. Lucky them. More often than not, there were name-callings and teenagers with pimple and acne problems were the laughing stock or subjected to cruel jokes. It crushed the self-esteem of so many teenagers.

Luckily for me, I had friends who had the same problem and shared with me how they dealt with pimples. A lot of them used variety of beauty products promising a clear, blemish-free face in just weeks. I tried a few but had to stop using because the products contained ingredients that are harmful to my skin. So I went back to simply washing my face with a bar of soap and water, lots and lots of water, to cleanse and moisten my skin. This was my cleansing regimen and although it minimised break-outs, I was still unhappy. It was only when I entered university that my prayers were answered. My house-mate (bless her!) recommended tea tree lotion. It’s very simple – you just apply tea tree lotion on the face after a gentle wash with warm water and in weeks you’ll feel the difference. Tea tree is a natural antiseptic, and although it doesn’t work for everyone, it certainly worked for me. This plus staying away from oily food and drinking lots of water surely helped ease my problems.

One option taken by another friend with acne-problems was going on the pill, as prescribed by her dermatologist. It helped lessen her acne tremendously and much to our envy, the pill also healed some of the scarring on her face. There are lots of products out there that ought to be explored, like acnexus, but it is advised to see a dermatologist first before trying any product.

    Extreme Acai Berry

    Thursday, August 28th, 2008

Since returning from Thailand, I already lost 3kgs. For the first time when I am not trying hard to lose weight, my weight decreased. Actually, I don’t have any radical change in my diet nor skip meals but what I do is eat only healthy food now- more veggies and fruits.

Despite the 3kgs weight loss, I am still far from my ideal weight. My arms still look like jumbo sausages and my thighs are as big as logs but, at least, now, they don’t rub together when I walk. I know it’s going to take a long time of exercise and discipline before I finally achieve my ideal weight. But for others who want instant results there are safer and more effective ways to complement dieting. One product that’s getting mixed reviews is the extreme acai berry diet pill. The acai berry usually grows in the Amazon rain forest and its high level of nutritional and health properties are extracted to produce an all-natural weight-loss pill. The pill helps rid the body of all excessive toxic build-ups in the body and prevents future build-ups. Not only does this pill flushes out the wastes and toxins from the body, it also provides additional fiber and anti-oxidants for a healthier and younger you.

While some people attest to its effectiveness, there are others who said otherwise. Also, one of the common comments was about the free trial where users were allegedly charged while still within the 14-day trial period. So it is advised to exercise caution when interested in purchasing this product. Research and find out more about the acai berry weight loss pill and where to buy them.

Black Friday Online - your holiday shopping site

    Friday, August 22nd, 2008

Last year, I made my Christmas list earlier and it helped me save time and money. I am doing the same this year, but, I will make sure I include my own Christmas wishlist. It is so much easier to have a list already prepared way before the holidays and save you the time and energy when d-day comes. In countries like United States and, perhaps, Canada, there’s one major shopping holiday that’s marked in every shopper’s calendar. It’s called the Black Friday and it happens the day after the Thanksgiving.

This is one of the most-awaited shopping holidays and almost always the event is one helluva shopping experience. Most retailers publish their ads online offering great discounts and promotions attract customers to various online shopping portals on the net. BlackFridayOnline.com is one of the most popular shopping portals there is and they recently published their offerings for this year’s Black Friday event. As early as now, shoppers can now see the products there so they could have an early list of Black Friday items they fancy and get ready for the crazy cyber monday. You could also sign up for alerts when new Black Friday ads are published.

As my Christmas wishlist includes gadgets, I went through their links and instantly got hooked on their Apple Store deals. I was also thinking about home furnishings and selected a few items at the featured Home Depot specials that my husband will approve of.

There may be no Black Friday to speak of here in Asia, but BlackFridayOnline.com has certainly helped me finalize my Christmas lists.

    Tracing telephone numbers

    Friday, August 22nd, 2008

Recently, just after returning from Thailand, I was deluged by prank calls in the wee hours of the night. I ignored it at first because I thought it would just stop. But it didn’t, so I picked it up only to find out that the most of the callers wanted someone to talk to, like a phone-pal. In other words, they want to practice talking in English. Come on, at that unholy time? And when asked where they got my number and how did they know that I am not a local, the uncouth callers won’t tell or give made up answers. This is one reason I hate having telephones.

I wish there’s a caller ID system here where you can trace the prank caller’s name and address and report to proper authorities for actions. But for people in the US and Canada, this is not a problem. People who are constantly victimized by prank and/or annoying callers and telemarketers, there’s a company that offers a free look up service where they look up the owner and address of any unknown telephone numbers. My friend who’s based in Canada went to great lengths and uses the reverse phone directory service just so to protect herself from these uncouth callers. How to use it is very simple; all you have to do is head to TraceNumber.com and type in the numbers in the form provided. In a few tail shakes, you’ll instantly get all the information – name and address of the owner, city, state, line type, phone carrier details and more for any United States or Canada phone number.

For a small amount, you could also access more details from cellphone numbers. And the best thing of all is that all lookups are highly confidential – telephone and cell phone number owners you asked for are not notified at all. For me, this is a great service and very beneficial, too. I can only wish the service is available here in Cambodia and put an end to these unwanted and annoying callers.

    Gas and Electric Fires

    Thursday, August 14th, 2008

There is something about fires and fireplaces that conjure romantic images in my head – couple cuddling, sipping wine or making out in front of a fireplace – blame it on all romance novels that I read during my adolescent years. Romantic notions aside, we humans have depended on fire that it is unthinkable to live without it. Fire is source of life and growth here on earth; it provides us light and heat. In cold countries, there is surely a fireplace – a common fixture – in every household to warm them come winter time. Nothing is more comfortable than sitting by the fireplace in a cold winter night. Fireplaces come in many forms - there are wood-burning fireplaces while there are also wood-fed stoves.

However, most people want to avoid the hassle of cleaning the fireplace everyday. Thanks to online retail companies like www.hotprice.co.uk, there are now alternatives to messy wood-fed fireplaces. It provides an extensive array of all the leading brands of fireplace manufacturers with guaranteed lowest prices in the market today. For example, gas fires are said to be safest like electric fires and they all come in various styles and colors to suit your traditional or contemporary taste. If you do not have a gas supply, then why not use electric fires instead?

www.hotprice.co.uk is a good-quality site to go to when looking for, not only your gas and electric fire needs, but also for other heating needs. A wide range of choices on designs, styles and types are available at the site where they feature their hot deals. Keep an eye on their best-sellers, too. Browsing www.hotprice.co.uk is very convenient, you can search not only by keyword but also by product style, types or even manufacturers. They also offer installation tips and a list of registered persons to install your equipment for you. What’s more, the site provides a jargon buster link where they explain the different terminologies used on the site. Plus, not only you can pick your choice of gas fires, electric fire, or other products but you can also ask them for their price match.

A friend asked about the best diet pills

    Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Because of my posts about diet pills, I was surprised to receive an email from a friend whom I haven’t seen for a long time. This friend of mine is also horizontally-challenged like me. Besides the usual formalities, she asked me two things: 1) why I didn’t post a picture of me in my sweet bikini, and 2) where to get the best diet pills?

So yeah, why is there no bikini photo?
My dear friend, the answer to that is very simple. I do not want Blogger to shut down the site. *lol* Yes, I mentioned about the results I am getting from exercising and yoga but my dear, losing weight is such a slow process that whatever results I am noticing, still it doesn’t show much! And believe me, it is even more difficult to lose weight when you are on holiday and there are temptations (read: food!) all around. I think, showing you the bikini is enough – you just let your imagination go wild!

As to best diet pills, it’s difficult to say as I am not a user, but fret not, it’s very easy to find out, thanks to the Internet. You just have to type the magic words into your favorite search engine – and voila! You get all the information you need plus, some sites include where to get them. But as I always say, seek first the advice of your doctor and together work out on which one is best suited to you.

    Best diet pill

    Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

When I first stepped on Cambodian soil, I was merely 50kgs. You don’t believe me? I have a proof stashed somewhere *lol*. Someone in my past even said that he’d order double servings of food for me because I was that skinny. How’s that?

Now, fast forward to eight years later, and my goodness, I am now way above the normal weight for my height. I guess that’s because for the past eight years, I stayed in the office advising on projects with occasional travel to project areas. I seldom left my desk, sat down in front of the computer for 8.5 hours a day, five days a week, getting up only to eat, drink and go to the toilet. I began eating take outs (too much rice and pasta, too many sweets!), sleeping in on weekends and days off… my body was falling apart.

While other people’s idea of losing weight is popping diet pills, I stayed away from it (although I thought about it), and instead, started doing some exercises and picked up yoga along the way. I want to lose weight the natural way, especially that we start our baby-making project next year. I know that getting results is slow but I will persevere – and I think I am getting there.

However, to those who have weak willpower, there are diet pills available around. I must say though, that with all the horror stories I heard about it, especially in Cambodia where all fake meds and diet pills are everywhere, one should be careful in selecting what’s the best diet pill for you. Consult a doctor first. Try searching online. There are various sites that provide helpful information and could help you decide which pill and where you to get it.

As for me, when all else fails, my last resort is diet pills. I want to look good in my bikini the next time we hit the beach. Sorry, Sis, can’t post a picture of me in a bikini just yet *lol*. Meantime, imagine me in this. I don’t care if people don’t like what they see, after all, I am just like them - one of the countless, nameless faces here in Patong beach.

Trade Show Displays by Camelback Displays

    Sunday, July 20th, 2008

For small companies and organisations, trade shows and trade fairs are very important events. It is where they can introduce themselves, as a company or organisation, and showcase their products and services to the public. However, participating in these events entails a lot of preparation and hard work. One has to plan carefully every detail in setting up trade show booths.

Setting up is a major task and usually is the source of a major pain-in-you-know-where. It requires space management and strategically arranging banner stands and choosing the appropriate table skirts, among others.

These days, however, this daunting task is made easier as companies and organisations can count on experts in trade show displays, exhibits and trade show booths, like the Camelbackdisplay.com. The people there provide everything related to trade shows exhibits at guaranteed factory prices. Orovo

    Saturday, July 19th, 2008

My friends picked me up today and we went to Nai Harn and Rawai beaches. Compared to the busy and crowded Patong beach on the west side of Phuket, it is quiet and less crowded there on the south-eastern side which is perfect for lazing in the sun, snoozing or simply enjoying the view of the sea. It is also an ideal place for people like us who didn’t want to expose our unsightly bulges to a great number of people.

We bravely put on our swimsuits and dipped in the warm waters for as long as we liked. While in the water, we ogled at the gorgeous bodies around us and we got into talking about our own overweight selves. A friend complained about how she’s almost starving herself and yet her body is still getting bigger, especially her stomach. Another pointed out jokingly that it’s because of her frequent drinking of sodas – the carbonation from the soda causes the swelling and the caffeine helped retain water. For myself I just want to lose weight and by eating the right kind and right amount of food and exercise I can easily achieve that. Only that it is easier said than done. Good thing there is orovo. Orovo is a health supplement made from a blend of natural products called SuperFoods. It’s a good diet pill to supplement weight loss plans. To know more information, check out Orovo.com.

On diet pills and losing weight

    Saturday, July 12th, 2008

It was last year when I realized that I am gaining weight so rapidly that I have unknowingly put my health at risk. Sure, I hear friends commenting about my bulging arms and thunder thighs but with all the tempting foods around me it is very easy to over-indulge. Now that I am in the beachtown of Phuket and surrounded by gorgeous women in bikinis, I suddenly became conscious of my body. It is taking me a lot of time to decide which clothes to wear whenever I go out (read: which clothes hide my extra bulge better). I tell you, it’s a nightmare and at this point an ominous sound started ringing in my head, like a broken recorder playing on and on and on - lose weight… lose weight…. lose weight…

So what’s the most common way to lose weight? A lot of people would say that the best way is to eat less calories and burn more calories (yeah, right, easy for them to say!). Others say diets and weight loss plans give good results. However, for most people I know with weight problems, diet pills is the answer. Even the most popular actress in the Philippines admits to using diet pills when asked by reporters about her weight loss.

There are a lot of reputable diet pills in the market today but there are also bad diet pills that are flooding the market nowadays. It is quite tricky to tell which are the real ones and which are the counterfeits. So before getting yourself some, you need to know what’s the best diet pill for your body. You can ask an expert to help you choose the best diet pills that work for you. Or let ConsumerPriceWatch.net help you. ConsumerPriceWatch.net has reviews of over 200 top diet pills in the market and ranked accordingly. Not only that, the site also tells you where to buy them online. Go check out www.consumerpricewatch.net for more information.

    Cheap phone cards

    Thursday, April 17th, 2008

For overseas workers like me, we always get homesick. Almost always, a phone call to our loved ones helps to counter this problem, but the crippling rate of overseas call is preventing most of us to get in touch as often as we want to. Calling long distance through land-phone amounts to sky-high phone bills prompting most of us to go for calling cards instead because it is cheaper. Here at therich.com, they are providing an extensive selection of cheap prepaid phone cards and international calling cards touted as one of the best in the market today. With just a few clicks of the mouse, one can search through therich.com’s site for the best and cheapest rate phone card for long distance calls in many destinations worldwide.

Just choose the destination and the card with the lowest rates, check out, get the PIN for the phone card and access numbers online, and start calling. Best way to search is to go to their top selling pre-paid cards and new phone cards section and you can already see the rates and number of minutes available.

Now you don’t have to rush and limit your conversation on the phone with your family members because with therich.com, you can talk as much as you want to without worrying about how much the call would cost you. Try the phone cards at therich.com now. Thanks to therich.com, you can still keep in touch with your family regularly without losing a limb.

Thinking of changing your web-host? Read this.

    Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

I have been using Blogger for more than four years as my host and so far, I am very satisfied with the service Blogger is providing. However, most of my friends have been telling me that they are going to have their own domains and that they are moving on to other web-hosting services. Sounds tempting, and I have to agree with them considering that there are lots of web-hosting sites that offer a lot of nifty features. However I have heard of horror stories, ranging from experiencing long period of being offline to slow technical support, and t is making it difficult for me to decide.

Of course, having your own domain is a great idea but then I want only the best web hosting site if ever I decide to do so. Good thing I came across Kaushalsheth.com’s site. There, the site owner talked about his difficulties with his previous host and shares his recommended list of excellent sites. I think bloggers like me who are not so familiar at techie stuff should take a look at Kaushalsheth.com’s recommendations before making the big move.

    On mortgages

    Friday, March 21st, 2008

Just recently, there has been a huge fear spreading across the United States regarding the mortgage business. Here in Asia, we don’t give much attention to and we seldom discuss mortgages most especially housing mortgages. However, due to current economic situation in the US, it has become a by-word in the print, broadcast and electronic media that we, on this side of the globe, are starting to pay attention to this issue.

Mortgage, according to the Wikipedia, is a payment method using one’s property as security for the payment of an obligation or a debt. I may be wrong but in the Philippines, I think it is also known as collateral. A lot of people use their properties as guarantee to pay for their loans and cases of people losing their properties tell us that we should be very careful in dealing with mortgages. Right now, the situation in the US is adding more fear and insecurity about mortgages and if you are looking for your first mortgage, it is best to consult an expert on this issue. It is better armed with enough information so that you could be able to make an informed decision on, perhaps, your biggest financial commitment.

    Too much excitement

    Friday, March 21st, 2008

I was one of the many bloggers whom Google punished by giving a page rank of 0 from a rank of 4. However, despite that demotion, I still received opps from PPP but they came irregularly, and these are stuffs that I wasn’t really enthusiastic to write about. So I decided to wait till Google gives me back my page rank. I waited for about 3months and when I had it finally, the opps at PPP became better.

I was too excited about the new opps that I overlooked some simple PPP rules. So, per PPP’s instruction, I have to repost. Sorry PPP, I will rectify my mistakes and be careful next time. But all the same, thanks for giving me better opportunities. It’s all worth the wait.

Credit cards for users with bad credit history

    Thursday, March 20th, 2008

In this day and age, more and more people are resorting to credit cards than paying cash. A lot of my friends say that this is more convenient and safe because they do not have to carry a lot of cash. Just one swipe of the credit card into the machine and everything has been taken care of. That’s what they think.

Little did they know that because of this convenience, it slowly drives them to become extravagant. A friend of mine, for example, became a compulsive buyer. Every time she sees something she likes she is compelled to grab every item on display and without difficulty, flash her credit card at the counter. It didn’t take her long to end up trapped in a monster credit card debt. Right now she is struggling to pay back her debt and claw her way out of a bad credit history. In the United States, this scenario is not far from different, even worse. More and more are lured into using credit cards and eventually end up in huge credit cards mess that recovering from that trap is almost next to impossible. Luckily there is another option – the credit cards for bad credit. The company gives expert advise on how to better manage finances and gives comparison on available bad credit credit cards suitable to their clients situation. Still, I think credit cards are good, especially in emergency situations, but it has be used responsibly and wisely.

    Oh, what joy it is…

    Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

… When I saw my PR rank has gone up to 2. Okay, it’s still 2 levels below my original rank, but hey, it is enough for now. I don’t know what prompted Google to up my level, or what I did to make them do that… it is still a reason to be glad.

My birthday is coming soon and I hope Google will return my original PR rank by then. *wink*
