The past week, I was busy attending exhibits. For one, there was Smart’s Banglos Art Exhibit cum Sale held at the Seminario Mayor de San Carlos, Mabolo which was a huge success. Seen were Congressman del Mar, artists, Cebu’s culturati and art collectors. It was just fantastic to see ordinary fishermen from Banglos, Gen. Nakar, Quezon province who have became sculptors. They have fashioned out conversational pieces out of driftwood from the 2004 landslide. That’s overcoming tragedy through art. Sales were donated to the Gawad Kalinga.Kudos to Banglos and Smart Communications, Inc for bringing the exhibit to Cebu.
