Flower Power and Hearty
Tuesday, May 6th, 2008Eversince I and Robert sold all those Easter Cards we made to help raise some money for their class trip, I haven’t stopped making cards since then. It’s my instant therapy right now. Whenever I’m troubled or bored (or craving for chocolates), I snip and fold and glue it all away
. I made a couple yesterday. It took me longer to find the 10 cm left-over ribbon I used for the flower card than

A fishy tale
Saturday, April 5th, 2008My son is an avid fisher. I’ve no idea where he got his love for fishing from but he can drop his computer or his playstation games anytime for a chance to fish and sit on his favorite spot by the sea for hours on end waiting for a bait. Right after school the other day, he took his bike and his rod to his spot and was gone for a couple of hours. This is what he came home with…
Gadget overload?
Tuesday, April 1st, 2008While on my way to work today, a boy of about 8 years old and his mom sat across me in the buss. What I quickly observed was that the moment they sat, the boy’s mom handed him a game console to play with. Both had earphones in their ears with loud music coming out of it. They never conversed, nor exchanged even a word the whole entire trip. By the time we got to the city, his mom made a sign that

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!
Easter fever!
Friday, March 14th, 2008We got creative after Robert announced that their class needs more traveling money for their last field trip this term. They are planning to go to Spain, that is if they can come up with the money ASAP. So now, everybody, even the parents, are chipping in with their time, stuff and their creativeness. One mom baked and sold yummy Lebanese breads and cookies, a dad took down a lot of twigs for the

Fresh produce
Thursday, September 6th, 2007These are some of the things I really enjoy in the Philippines. All the different varieties of fresh fruits and vegetables readily available, from the freshest buko to the sweetest mangoes or the sour & crispy ones, or the bitter melon. The kinds where you can’t find anywhere in Europe or if you are lucky to find one, then it is as expensive as gold. That’s why I love going to the market there &

Back from Brazil
Monday, June 4th, 2007Brazil is just fantastic! Everything’s beautiful - the people, the expansive beaches and landscapes! Words and pictures can’t really justify it. I was there for 8 super hectic days but it was all fun! With 7 other delegates from Scandinavia, we did tours around Fortaleza, Jericoacoara, Cumbuco and Rio. We had a buggy race along the beach and on the sandy dunes of Jericoacoara. Took an off-roader

A girl scout all over again!
Wednesday, February 21st, 2007Every Tuesday night is Robert’s Sea Scouts meet. Hubby was one of the volunteer scout leader there but since he is often out of town on business, his responsibility fell on me. The scouts here are run by volunteers and anybody is welcome to join and help out. Our group consists of 26 kids ranging between the age of ten to twelve. At first, I was pretty hesitant in joining as a volunteer since a
An eye opener
Wednesday, January 31st, 2007Work, work, and more work is all I do. I feel like 2007 is just passing me by. Today, I actually got an eye-opener from my grandma. I received a very nice and touching birthday card from her. My sweet and loving Mommy. She can be a pain at times but no matter what happens nor how busy she is, she never misses a birthday. She never misses a chance to show that she remembers and that she cares. I
