I can feel the pressure

Published by Ley under

I skipped school today.:) Well, partly. I had the worst case of dysmenorrhea I've ever had. ever. I tried not to think about it but after ReEd I decided to go home. I missed English, CWTS and EM 112 (Trigo). Trigo's hell. So I don't regret not coming. Haha. On the other hand, our English prof is attendance-obsessed and I was supposed to pass a CWTS journal. Still, I would've died of pain or something anyway.

I bet Dibiboi (DB boi) knows I like him. It's frickin obvious! Haha. It's fun.

To Naruto fans: Isn't Sakura very annoying at the start of the series? All she does is stand, watch, and shout, "Sasuke-kun!" or "Naruto-kun!". She doesn't even fight that much. USELESS. I used to like her for Naruto.^^

What ?

Published by Ley under Bisan Unsa Lang

Haha, one of the most embarassing and mortifying moments of my life happened today. Hahaha. After CTWS, my girl blockmates and I went to the canteen. DB boi was there. He was the one I moshed with [hahaha] ala First of Summer video [HAHAHAHA] at the freshmen welcome party. I was so happy to see him that I didn't notice til later that Borokokok *coughRAM2xcough* was actually at the next table, with his back to me. He knew I was just there and kept trying to look behind him (palusot ka pa! hahaha) and glance at me but I was always looking somewhere else, although it too was obvious I was doing it on purpose. My blockmates don't know who he is but they know about the story of my past. Hahahaha. Corny. Haha!

Anyway, they noticed I wasn't acting myself and started to say things like,

"Ley! Why're you so quiet? Are you thinking of your crush?"
"Ley, you're crush is here right?"
"Why are you so lonely? Is it because of your ex? Haven't you moved on yet? Or is it your crush?"

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Hahaha. I swear I could feel myself turn as red as a tomato. Hahahaha.

"No, no, it's my crush! He's over there! *points* See? They're leaving the canteen!"

Hahaha! Denial queen! But DB boi really was there :D Maygaaaaaad, Ram2x Borokokok was still trying to glance at me, so I suggested we go to class already since we had 10 minutes before Trigo. I was desperate to get away! Far, far away!:P He texted me a few minutes later, asking why I didn't say Hi. I said sorry (typical LEY to Ram2x move). :/

Anyway, I kept seeing DB boi today. YAY!:) Is it just me, or did he really look at me.. sort of?:P && now I know that I will see him after Fili because as we go down from the fifth floor, they go up. Yeahhhh.:D

Oh, I slipped in the ramp with lots of people in the corridor seeing. Lovely, eh?:D

biodegradable nappies

Published by Soy under Bisan Unsa Lang

I tried on Lewis these biodegradable nappies and they're really good. They're not bleached and apparently, they decompose in 8 weeks, unlike the commonly used nappies widely available in shops that take almost a hundred years to decompose!

Why don't you try them on your babies? It's guilt-free to use them and you help save the environment!

The 3 o’clock Syndrome

Published by mokmok under Bisan Unsa Lang

All right, my shift starts at eight. But before that I have to set up my tools like ten minutes before I clock in. Good luck to me, I'm part of the opening shift. Like I get the first few people who have issues, I mean "issues".
By the time I have my first 15-minute break, I'm a bit dizzy from the calls. It is not easy listening to people's problems, you don't even know them yet they come to you for help. And the hard part is, you have to take them somewhere to get their problem solved. It would be better if you would be able to solve their problem right there and then. It would give you a sense of achievement, a sense of fulfilment.
Midnight arrives, I take my lunch. I'm not dizzy anymore, I'm drunk. Drunk of all the problems people have, drunk from all the information coming into my head, and drunk most of all from the information coming out of my head.
And the hardest part comes. The 3 o'clock syndrome. What happens on the 3 o'clock syndrome? I get booted out of my cubicle. I have nothing to do. I get to stay on the coffee lounge, thinking about all the problems I handled, thinking if I have taken them to the proper places. That's what bums me the most. Dammit.
Good thing I have my cigarette, my coffee mug, my lighter. And the fresh mountain breeze. It suits me well amidst all the pressure. Then I won't have to worry no more.

My Cebu trip…

Published by zelle under photos, travels..., work...

i was in cebu last weekend for the 2nd regional draw of Extra Joss Extra La-Cash Part 2... day 1 was spent for alignment meetings and store checks while day 2 was allotted for the draw...and day 3 for editing of the airing material and cebu tour!

one of the perks of my work is free travels! but of course its all work related trips but i always make sure that i endulge in what i call "leisure after work" activities! it doesnt matter if i only have 2 hours of sleep, migraine attacks or even LBM...nothing can stop me from enjoying whatever i can enjoy in the area...in the case of cebu, its the scenery and historical spots!

I was with my Indonesian client and i had a hard time giving him the historical background of the spots...i happened to left some of my lessons in college and too bad that includes a big chunk of history...

@ shangrila mactan

shangrila mactan garden

Sharingla Mactan is one of the premier hotel in cebu with a beach front...an overnight stay will cost me an arm and leg and maybe my kidneys too if i insist on another night...

we visited Magellan's cross...i think it is the cross that magellan brought to the philippines that marks the christianization of the filipinos...

plantation bay hotel and resort is the counterpart of Shangrila Mactan...i like it better here...the management were so kind to give us a quick tour of the entire resort...but again it will cost me a month's salary (gross!) if i want to have an overnight stay with food and spa...

...how i wish i could marry a rich man so i can spend his money enjoying here!... :)

Tid bits...

1) Napping cat- I chanced upon this napping cat and I couldn't resist taking a picture... interesting how it curled it's body....

2) Monday's done- Seems like only an hour ago that I woke up, and it's now quarter past 6 pm. And now that Monday's gone, it'll just be a matter of time (pun intended, haha!) before it's weekend already! :-)

3) Short Magazine- The short magazine for my A2 arrived today, good fit and makes my rifle easier to carry...

4) Site meters- I have three site meters: Cluster Map (which let's you see in a map the sites from where you blog is being viewed; Stat Counter (makes you see even the IP adresses of your site visitors); and Hit Counter (onsite counters which keeps you updated on the number of hits you get in your site). Talk about vanity!

Pagkatumpag sa Kamingaw

Natun-as na ang adlaw.
Apan kanus-a
matumpag ang kamingaw?

Nangahagbong nga Bitoon

Iphon ta: mga bitoon

Asa man ta padulong?

Sa Palibot sa Hardin

Hanging itom, sa atong
hardin naglibot.
Kanus-a ta mag-ibot?

Pangandam

Pagbantay,
ayaw pagdanghag kon buot kang
mohimamat sa balak.

Daghan ra ba kaayo’g nawong
ang iyang mga pulong. Nag-ugom

Wala’y kalainan
sa paghot sa iro ilawom sa kagabhion
ang gisumbong sa magbabalak
nga gihuboan sa mga bakak
samtang nangliki ang iyang antipara
atul sa pagtakdol
sa iyang pag-inusara.

Pagmatngon kon buot kang makighilawas
sa pasumbingay nga nagkiay-kiay
luyo sa kahilum: wala’y kalainan

sa huni ug kundat sulod sa dughan

duyog sa tinagong tunob sa kawatan.
Kon siya imong masakpan,
nagpasabot kini nga ikaw andam na
modawat sa bisan unsang hagit
batok sa kangitngit samtang

ang balak-- nangahas
lagbas sa imong kalimutaw—
nangidhat ug nagpatin-aw
kon unsaon paghulat.

Ting-init, Hunas, Taub

Dili matugkad ang kauhaw
sa adlaw. Iyang dila nag-aso
sa pagsupsop— sama sa masuso—
sa atong singot nga mibanaw
ug buot molapaw sa dagat.

Nagsungkod sa baybayon, ang beterano
sa karaang gubat gihagit sa katawa
sa mga kataw. Ang ilang mga tutoy
mipatubod sa iyang laway, miawas
sa iyang ngabil nga nangliki karon
sa tinghunas sa iyang taghoy.

Nangalisngaw ang gilawmon
sa iyang panghupaw. Iyang natilawan
ang parat nga huyohoy nga huyopon unya
sa aso sa mga panghaw
ug tambutso sa dakbayan diin
nagbanaw ang kabugnaw sa dugo
samtang nag-agas ang gatas gikan

sa ngabil sa mga bag-ong gipangtuli
nga karon naglawud ang kahidlaw
sa pagdasdas, wala’y pagdumili
sa pakighilawas sa mga balud
nga nagbukal-bukal gihapon
hangtud ug bisan
ang adlaw malumsan.

Panghupaw Gikan sa Pagtuang

Migitib, mga udlot

Asa na man ang bangaw?

Abo sa Adlaw

Gihagdaw pa sa kabog--
abo sa adlaw.
Kanus-a man mobatog?

Hagwa sa mga Ikogan

Iring sungkaban, irong
buang: gahagwa.
Kinsa’y nagkalibanga?

Dihang Gisikop ug Gikulata ang Terorista

Dili maila iyang dagway, nabulhog
Ang iyang gitug-an

pasaylo sa iyang pak-an nga pagpangahas
nunot sa usa ka tahas: ang pagpakay-ag
sa kahayag. Ang pagpauyog kalit
sa kalibutan aron mapulpog
ang kangitngit. Aron mawatas-watas
ug maugdaw ang atong kamingaw.
Wala siya’y apelyido. Siya tawga lang kuno
sa ngalan nga Kupido.

Dihang Nabuntagan ang Gamhanan

(alang ni Raphael Gandalf)

Bisan ang amang makakanta
bahin sa dili nako mabuhat: sirko-
balintong, salamangka, inigmat
ug ang pagpakidhat sa buta.

Bisan akong taghoy— muna’s ginhawang’

Kining tanan akong gidawat, anak,
kining tanan akong gi-angkon sukad
gitugyanan ko’g katakus sa pagsapnay,
sukad ang kagabhion nagtugyan nako’g gahum
batok sa kalaay, katulogon ug urom
bisan pa’g ga-uwang ang mga iro,
gaalindasay kay giduyogan man
sa akong laylay.

Sa Akong Kinamaguwangan

(alang ni Gabriel Ollivan)

Nangitngit ang mga ngilit-ngilit sa lawas
sa imong inahan sa inanay nimong pagsubang
sulod sa iyang sabakan. Nahimong bukid
ang iyang tiyan, ug milipang ang kalasangan
sa akong dughan: nanamkon og mga ihalas
nga liso, nag-uha-uha sa mga mangtas nga
mga sanga ug wala pa hiilhing mga bunga.

Nanggitib sa akong dila ang mga udlot
sa pangaliya hangtud nasiak ang adlaw
ug nisidlak ang imong unang tyabaw kapin
sa oras gikan sa paglabay sa udtong tutok.
Din-a ko mangutana nganong magbandilyo
ang mga tuktogaok matag kaadlawon.
Gibalhiboan ang akong mga bukton.

Sa imong kagutom, samtang ikaw gilaylayan
sa imong inahan, gitungab nako
ang iyang tingog. Hangtud ang kahayag
nga midagayday sa tumoy sa iyang totoy
gisawman sa mga bitoon nga nangandoy
saw-an ug saulogon ang atong mga kagabhion.
Ikaw ang suga sa tanan nakong isugilon.

On the gear to ‘t Woudt !

Published by Maria under Bisan Unsa Lang

I am now biking :-) This is my longest way in the saddle. We cycled from home to my parents-in-law's house to 't Woudt part of Schipluiden about 14 kms back and forth.
Above shots are on our way there taken last Saturday for a family reunion. Actually, this is already our three-times of biking going there. (The reunion entry will be posted some other time :-))

Welcome to our destination! Infront of the house is the church. Foto from Flickers.

We took the easiest way and get intimate with the villages and canals where we passed through. 't Woudt is a small village with an old church standing in the center and has few inhabitants, making it as one of the smallest villages in the Netherlands. The Dutch countryside is the main attraction during summer. Many fine bicycling destinations are arranged for bicycle tours provided with a cycling map. t' Woudt is one common spot to explore the green pearl of the Midden-Delfland. A relaxing cafeteria (a hay storage baarn before) is just before the church where we can pass.

A picturesque view of the church in 't Woudt. Fotos from Flickers.

Along the lanes we can see unlimited waterway canals, goats and cows in conference, windmills, and greenhouses. However, as you are biking, fresh air and combined smelly perfumes are just free on the air. You can choose any variants of smells such as compost heaps, and animals' grassy waste plus numbers of insects uninvitedly but welcoming to your eyes.

This is the scenario as you enter the diverse village biking routes.

Biking fotos are courtesy of my husband's mobilefone.
For now, it is a big relief for me at least my bike adventure is doing smoothly without any big hazards. My new task now is to embrace bike traffic rules...What is this?

In the Netherlands, every road is adjacent to the network of cycleways. Bikes have special lanes and traffic rules too. People travel to work, go to the local supermarket and go to school by bicycle. In fact, one can travel almost anywhere by bicycle in the Netherlands. This is why tourists, when they visit the Netherlands, often rent a bicycle and cycle around the countryside or the city. Dutch cycling community is very diverse: kids on their first bike, children riding to school, people commuting to work, couples on holiday, families on a leisurely Sunday ride, racing professionals, people from all walks of life, they all share the same network of cycling.

Kids in the last year of basischool (elementary school) are actually given traffic lessons and must pass for their biking license :-) Now, we actually ordered a cycling traffic book from the internet. Though there are free lessons in the cyberspace but then we just order one to ensure my head won't forget :-) So, I will learn basic rules and traffic signs. We already bike going to the centrum and to my school but quite scary for me when caught in the middle of intersections. Huh! Another thing to add to my integration course here in Holland :-)

Check my first entry about my bike :-)

This is the City Dog Pound's van, as you can see it's full of "stray dogs". I chanced upon it on my way to work last week. The dogs are caught using G.I. wires and I can't stand the pitiful moan of the dogs as they are dragged ino the van.

I can't fault the City Government in trying to keep this city clean, but I also pity the owners of these dogs for the time and effort they put into raising their pets... in the end, it's still a responsibility in keeping and having pets.

two nights ago i got the time of my life. spent like two or three hours with that person and it really got me on highs. druggy you might consider but the hell

my body clock is all messed up. i mean its typical of me to be dripping saliva all over my bed for almost half the day but now i always seem to stand up automatically after five or less hours of sleep

dammit i stepped on someone's(not the same person on the first part) pride last night. to badmouth people is just nothing to me but now i realize it really is bad. duh

I have to go to school this afternoon for the ECE freshmen assembly. @.@ I'm tiiiired. I want a whole day at home.:D After there, I have to go to Auntie BB's house, too. POO. I want to reignite the bum in me! Hahaha. It seems to be lost somewhere.:P

School's getting tougher, even for Paolo. I mean, especially for Paolo. Hahah. I saw him studying last night and so I decided to study, too. Hahaha. Na-excite. Our Trigo teacher is terror personified. Hahaha. But you know what, in a really pathetic way, I think strict teachers (particularly Math and Science strict teachers) are better than the lax ones cos they'd push and push you to work harder. :P Like during Trigo yesterday, Sir Daculan just started discussing out of the blue, and real fast, too! -_- It was our first discussion. Panic, much? Hahaha. I forgot everything but because of his pace, we were all forced to really think. Chilling strictly not allowed. HAHA.

I need to start to live, eat and breathe Math.
